City Gates:
Medieval city gates to the Old Town :
- Buza Gate – also known as Vrata od Buže is a northern entrance to the Old Town that leads from Iza Grada street – more info
- Pile Gate – The main entrance to Old Town used to have a wooden drawbridge which used to be pulled up at night to prevent unwelcome guests entering- more info
- Ploče Gate – The main entrance to Old Town from the Eastern side, also known as Vrata od Ploča were built at the end of 14th century – more info

Bokar Fortress (Bokar Tower) – Located at the top of the steep cliff on the western corner of Dubrovnik’s city walls, Tvrđava Bokar was built with the intention to defend the town’s main entrance Pile Gate, its bridge and moat – more info

Revelin Fortress (Revelin Tower) – located just outside the town walls as part of the Ploče Gate entrance to the Old town was built as protection of the Eastern side of the Town- more info
Sveti Ivan Tower – huge fortress at the Town’s sea gate built to protect the town from the eastern side, nowadays housing aquarium and maritime museum – more info
