Dubrovnik (Gruž) – Trsteno (Arboretum) – Lokrum Ferry

A newly introduced round-trip ferry line connecting Dubrovnik (Gruž – the main port) with Trsteno (Arboretum) and Lokrum Island is a great option if you intend to visit these local two protected areas of botanical gardens.

At the time of writing this article, the ferry boat departs on Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. from the main ferry port (Gruž) and takes you to Trsteno and Lokrum, returning back to Gruž from Lokrum at 3:00 p.m. You will have 2 hours to visit Trsteno’s arboretum and 3 hours to enjoy Lokrum island. Here is the current schedule:

If you prefer to stay longer in Lokrum you can use the regular lines from Lokrum to the Old Town port. For the time being, it will sail from Fridays to Sundays. The ticket price is 380 Croatian Kuna (€50 Euros)

About Ferry

The service is run by the ‘Lacroma’ catamaran, a 15-meter-long vessel with a capacity is 50 passengers and a maximum speed of up to 18 knots. It also has disabled access. The vessel is the first Croatian-made hybrid passenger ship, built in the Dalmont shipyard in Kraljevica.
