Travel from Dubrovnik to Tirana (Albania)

    I would like to travel from Dubrovnik to Tirana, Albania in summer this year.
    Is the bus the only option? What are the schedules?
    Has anyone recently taken this journey? Is it complicated?

    Take bus from Dubrovnik to Kotor, overnight in Kotor because bus from Kotor to Tirana leaves in the early morning at 6:40 or 8:30. You will be in Tirana around 12:30 or 14:30 depending which bus you took. 6 hours on the bus.
    Its not complicated.

    Bus to Kotor from Dubrovnik goes 3 times a day 7,00; 11,00; 15,00 none will get you there in time to take bus to Tirana on the same day. This has to be two days journey.

    Thank you ! How long is takes for bus to get to Kotor? How much is a ticket? Do I have to book it in advance?

    Dubrovnik to Kotor is 60 kilometres, about 2 hours, because bus stops in some villages on the way. Bus fare is 95 kuna, about 12 Euro and another 30 Euro from Kotor to Tirana so all together about 42 Euro. I’m not sure if you can book it in advance somewhere on-line.

    Did you consider taking a ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari, Italy plus a ferry from Bari to Durres https://ferryspots.com/bari-durres-ferry/ + bus to Tirana?
    This is probably more complicated and lasts longer then a bus through Montenegro

    Omg getting by ferry to Albania from Dubrovnik involves 2 nights on 2 ferries, this is much complicated, last toooooo looooong and cost twice as much 55 Euro + 38 Euro minimum.
