Buža Gate
Buža gate also known as Vrata od Buže is a northern entrance to the Old Town that leads from Iza Grada street, crossing Peline and down the steps to Prijeko and further the steps to Stradun, the main Old Town’s promenade.
This entrance in the town is handy if you park your car in Iza Grada area or if you are approaching the town from Ilijina Glavica or Kono. However, this is the most difficult approach to the heart of the Old Town as there are many steps along this route.
Buža was opened like a gate to the town in the 1900s when the town was under Austro-Hungarian Empire rule.
