Gradac Park
Situated just a short walk from the Old Town, on the top of the cliffs above Danče beach, Gradac Park is an ideal place to come and spend some time in the beautiful and tranquil nature.
The park was established in the 19th century (1898) as a 17000 m2 tranquil zone for people to enjoy nature close to the heart of the Town.
Dotted around the park there are numerous benches where you can sit and enjoy the shade, nature and views over Lovrijenac, the sea and the roofs of the Old town.
The park also features a small pond with some goldfish slowly swimming around.

I love to come here as much as I can on every visit to the town especially if it is hot and busy around Stradun and Porporela. What I do in summer is first to have a nice swim down in Danče and then climb the steps to Gradac to cool down and enjoy the views, peace and shade.
Note: * Game of Thrones Season 4 filming location of Purple King Joffrey’s wedding was here in Gradac Park (see video); Photo – views over Lovrijenac fort
