    We need to take car ferry from Dubrovnik to SUĐURAĐ Šipan Island in June this year.

    Is there any advantage to book on line?

    Is it necessary?

    Is it a busy ferry line?

    I see no advantage at all to buy it online.

    Because, first of all having that ticket does not reserve a place for your car on a particular sailing and secondly in my opinion the ferries are not likely to be full in June.

    Well, you could book online to save time doing it when you’re there but no advantage as ticketing booth is in the port very close to ferry and it can be done in 3 minutes.
    Don’t bother buying it online
