From Dubrovnik to Korcula via Peljesac by rented car

  We will be travelling to Dubrovnik for 5 days in June and are considering of hiring a car for a day and driving to Korcula stopping in Ston for lunch (some oysters could be nice).

  Is it worth leaving the car in Orebic and take foot passenger boat to Korcula or is it better to take the car on the ferry so we can use it to explore the island?

  Is parking difficult in Korcula?

  We also want to stop at a winery on the way home somewhere on Peljesac. Can anybody recommend a good one please?

  In my opinion it is much better to take car on the island so you can drive around although it will be difficult to include all in one day, maybe you can consider to take two days on the island?

  If you want to see old town in Korcula only than leaving your car in Orebic make sense, if you intend to see more than that than take a car with you.

  I agree with Pele, parking can be difficult in vicinity of Korcula old town; You are better off exploring it as pedestrian.
