EdiKeymasterHi Mia, here are some options for you to consider –
>> from Brac to Dubrovnik options: https://www.dubrovnik-travel.net/travel/getting-brac-dubrovnik/
>> from Split to Dubrovnik options:
https://www.dubrovnik-travel.net/travel/split-dubrovnik/
June is a good time to travel as you have daily ferry service for both of your destinations.
EdiKeymasterHi Philomena, it is easy to go around Old town for someone who is not very confident, it is not large town, all streets lead to the main street Stradun/Placa so you cant get lost. Locals are friendly and will show you directions if you are unsure. You can download some maps here dubrovnik-travel.net/map/ for you to study and once you arrive there, take some free maps from local tourist office. You can also use your smart phone map app to help you walking around the town. Enjoy!

EdiKeymasterYour itinerary sounds good and interesting and in 10 days you have plenty of time to explore the area.
Regarding travel by ferry from Vis to Hvar note that at the present, there are ferries between these two ports only once a week, on Tuesdays. On any other day you have to take ferry to Split and then from Split to anywhere else like Hvar, Mljet or any other island.
Hvar, Mljet and Korcula are well connected by daily ferries to Dubrovnik while Vis is not.
in reply to: How to hail a taxi in Dubrovnik? #5892
EdiKeymasterIf you see taxi approaching just stick out your arm and taxi will take you if not busy. Taxi rides in Dubrovnik are completely safe and reliable.
If you feel more comfortable with Uber you can use that too.in reply to: Luggage / Storage lockers in Dubrovnik Old Town #5332
EdiKeymasterLeft luggage office at the bus station is your best option, it is opened daily from early morning 4.30 until 11.30 in the evening so you have plenty of time to visit the Old Town while your luggage is safe near your departure point.

in reply to: how long the journey is from Dubrovnik to Korcula #4294
EdiKeymasterHi Keira, that journey is about 2 hours. It includes ferry journey across to the island.
EdiKeymasterIf you would like to focus on culture and architecture you could spend time in Dubrovnik and Korcula.
Mljet is good for outdoors, walking and similar.
Hvar is bit too far from Dubrovnik if you stay in the area for one week only unless you decide to fly back home from Split.
In that case you could do a day trip to Hvar or Trogir from there.
Day trip to Mljet is here: https://www.dubrovnik-travel.net/travel/dubrovnik-to-mljet/
For other day trips from Dubrovnik check this : https://www.dubrovnik-travel.net/day-trips-from-dubrovnik/

EdiKeymasterThe Old Town stop is called Pile Bus station which is on about 10 minutes bus ride from Dubrovnik’s main bus station located in Gruž. The bus from Dubrovnik Airport stops at Pile and proceeds to Gruž. The bus ride from the Airport to the Old town lasts about 20 minutes.
